Graphene and Composites: Better, Lighter, Stronger - Nixene Publishing

Global Events

While so many events have been cancelled or postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic, our calendar features webinars and other events currently available. As global conferences are rescheduled, we will feature the most comprehensive list of nanotechnology events on the net, thanks to the generous colaboration with our friend and collegue, Dr. Denis Koltsov of BREC - (Subscribe to his newsletter for standardisation, regulation and innovation in nanotechnology industry).

Graphene and Composites: Better, Lighter, Stronger

17th November 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Graphene and Composites webinar presenter Dr. Arun Maju

Dr Arun Prakash Aranga Raju from the GEIC will be presenting a free webinar entitled “Graphene and Composites: Better, Lighter, Stronger”.

This event is hosted jointly by The Graphene Council and the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA).

Graphene has demonstrated significant improvement in both thermoset and thermoplastic applications. The graphene production environment has evolved to a reliable multi-tonne capacity.

Graphene is now primed to supply the composites industry with an innovative advanced material that will enable the next generation of high performance applications.

This webinar, hosted jointly by The Graphene Council and the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) will cover:

– Review of the different commercial forms of graphene used in composites.
– Dispersion and compounding approaches and challenges for thermosets and thermoplastics, reinforced and non-reinforced.
– How graphene improves composite performance metrics (strength, impact resistance, shear, flex, UV, thermal, conductivity, fire retardation . . .)
– Recyclability enhanced by graphene.
– Case studies and examples in commerce
– Update on the Graphene Enhanced Composite Testing Project
– Q&A

This webinar will be recorded and the presentation slides will be made available.

Feel free to share the registration link with your professional networks.
