2D Materials Orthopaedics webinar
27th August 2020 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Opportunities for 2D Materials in Orthopaedics, will be presented by Dr Nic Gowland, Business Development Manager, Graphene@Manchester, on Thursday, August 27th, from 15.30 – 16.30 (UK); Thu, Aug 27, 2020, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM CDT (US)
Dr. Gowland’s role is working with industry to devise and rapidly deliver graphene innovation projects, with the aim to deliver new disruptive products to market. Working across the National Graphene Institute (NGI) and Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) – two state of the art R&D facilities focused on fundamental research and product development respectively.
Gowland has a background in healthcare and medical business development, with a PhD in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson looking at novel materials for orthopaedic implants.
This webinar is part of the ‘Challenges and Opportunities’ Series of Free Webinars, from the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre. The Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) specialises in the rapid development and scale up of graphene and other 2D materials applications. The GEIC will focus on six application areas to rapidly accelerate the development and commercialisation of new graphene technologies. Composites; Energy; Membranes; Inks, Formulations and Coatings.
The webinar focuses on the opportunities for graphene and other 2D materials in orthopaedics, a $50bn industry, and future trends that may influence innovations in this sector.
Please register for the event to receive joining details for the webinar.
