This company slogan aptly defines Acute North, established by Jo (Joanna) Whitehead. Her career began as international liason between Europe and the Far East for the textile industry. She then shifted to a two decade career with a communications company, moving steadily from account manager to developing a web division. For the next dozen years, Jo served Cliffehangar, Ltd. Print Management Division.

An accomplished manager of a design team and in-house estimator, she launched her own graphic design company while maintaining her role as Creative and Production Manager. With over 20-years experience in design and print, Jo shines in her ability to translate client preferences into polished, attractive publications – most evident when viewing the Nixene Journal. She excels in project management, creative design and the strong desire to produce a quality service to clients.

She earned her Foundation Certificate in Art and Design at Huddersfield Technical College and her Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at Bretton Hall University. Colleagues recommend Jo Whitehead as a valuable asset, who exemplifies professionalism in developing long term client relationships.

When away from the desk, Jo enjoys a range of outdoor activities including gardening, martial arts and mountain biking, plus “the odd bit of shopping and chocolate!”
